Time has passed by ;

Forgive me Bob for being perhaps too intimate

with you

But that's the way I am with all those I love

Even those I have never seen

 

And in our memory,

Your presence remains forever

Marked by an indelible seal

Of mad hopes

Born from despair

 

From your illustrious brother in Dallas

You had taken up the torch

Giving hope to your great country

so blemished by his killing

 

You went from city to city,

From State to State proclaiming the truth

 

But as the French troubadour sang

This one « must be executed ».

Campaigning thunderously

Already for your party, you were the one

But already the day after

Nothing left but chaos
